Just over the valley from Lee Quarry but this stuff's on my doorstep - had a wonderful morning playing on the 29er up on the singletrack and icy tracks up there on Saturday.

This race was my first event and me and a couple of friends decided to try the "Have a go Hero" section, first what an experience racing against like minded guys and gals is, everyone was friendly and helpful (until the race started).

Was not expecting much in way of performance, but went hell for leather on the first lap and thought I was gonna pass out, gathered my self and settled into a pace and I finished 8th, which I am really chuffed with.

Hi.

I have moved to the area Near Bury.

I am looking for routes to ride in the area.

I have been looking at the Quarry websites, Blogs etc and was wondering if anyone could clear some issues for me.

1. Are the 2 Quarries now linked ?

2. Where do i head for, park etc so i can do them both?

3. Are there any more off road routes in the area.

has anyone tried the new deli across the road from the car park at the bottom of lee quarry,me and my mate had done cragg and lee quarry saturday we were filthy so decided to go to poppies deli for a take out coffee cos we were so dirty but to our surprise we were welcomed with open arms and told to sit near window so we could keep an eye on our bikes apparently theyre planning to put bike stands outside to lock bikes up too,thumbs up for a biker friendly cafe with really friendly staff hope… Continue

The new link route is fantastic. like someone snowboarded down and they built the bridleway on the same route.
